Spring has been slow to emerge in Alberta this year but finally we are seeing green grass and signs the long winter is over. The Easter bunny has come and gone. The donkeys are starting to shed their winter hair and look forward to being groomed by anyone who will take the time to do it. Having said that, it should not delay plans to search for new donkey acquisitions to enjoy for summer.

It is also time to start planning spring maintenance for the animals; hoof trimming, de-worming or any vaccinations required.

Prairie Brae Thor has been named NMDA High Point Gelding for the second consecutive year, 2010 and 2009! Thor is co-owned by Meredeth Marker, and Sue Myers of Mooonshine Meadows in Washington. Meredeth has done a wonderful job in the show ring and is her own trainer. Congratulations!
